abigail854: and yet, guys are so dependable. We are ALWAYS there when they need us, whether it is something simple like opening the mayonnaise jar, something mechanical like doing an oil change, or something emotional, like a conversationalist
abigail854: honestly, 99% of guys are just way too good for women. And yet, there we are, "needing" them.
Well, are they? Needing us, that is. I'd have to say the answer is yes--in fact, it is evidenced in abigail854's very comments. The need to feel needed is built into all of us. It manifests itself differently in men and women, but it's there. I'd have to say that the kind of women abigail845 is referring to are the extremely incompetent, leachy kind, or, more likely, the kind that have mastered the art of making someone feel needed. Deep down, I think every girl would like to open her own pickles and never dump on another person. But she understands the need to feel needed. I may be wrong . . . I may be way off track, but if I were, how come men keep running to the rescue when they hear the knife banging on the lid of the peanut butter?
